1st Catalonian “Accessible Tourism – Tourism for All” Conference
Accessible Spain Travel has been invited to speech at the 1st Catalonian “Accessible Tourism – Tourism for All” Meeting which will take place tomorrow December 2nd at the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporanea de Barcelona). We are very excited to catch up with new products and services offered by Catalonian local suppliers in terms of accessible tourism. Among them accommodation, leisure activities and adapted transportation providers.
In the last five years, Catalonia has gone from having 600 resources of adapted tourist services to boasting more than 1,200 resources, some of which are unique in Spain. Catalonia has also been recognized recently at London’s 2014 World Travel Market for its work advocating accessible tourism and has garnered First Prize in Europe’s CHARTS awards for its work fostering cultural and sustainable tourism. The Way of Saint James for All initiative was chosen from amongst 27 candidates from all over Europe as a benchmark of excellence and good practices in the field of cultural and sustainable tourism.
Catalonia offers a selection of destinations which offer a comprehensive range of adapted tourist amenities so that everyone has the chance to enjoy Catalonia’s extraordinary cultural heritage, its magnificent landscapes, its rich gastronomy, and even the broad spectrum of sporting activities it has to offer. It will be a small taste of a land that takes big efforts to adapt to everyone’s needs. For all of you in Bcn these days, you can’t miss it!
