This accessible tour starts from A Coruña cruise port, where you will be picked up by your private adapted transport. After visiting some of the historic and picturesque villages surrounding A Coruña: Betanzos, Pontedeume, and Miño you will be dropped off at A Coruña cruise port again.
Our tour begins visiting A Coruña through a panoramic drive stopping at ou get a panoramic tour of the city, stopping at Tower of Hercules, the oldest lighthouse of Roman origin in the world, and its surroundings. This monument has been a UNESCO World Heritage since 27 June 2009 and is the second-tallest lighthouse in Spain. Torre de Hercules has stairs inside and no lift to access the top but its very worth visiting the lighthouse and its surroudings facing the Atlantic Ocean.
After your panoramic through A Coruña, we will visit Betanzos, a Medieval settlement. The town sits on a hill where there used to be a hill-fort, on the mouth of the Betanzos estuary. It was one of the seven capitals of the Old Kingdom of Galicia, and it was declared a Historic-Artistic Site. We will visit Santiago Church in Betanzos, built by Fernán Pérez de Andrade. Later we will visit Pontedeume, a fishing village and its promenade that runs all along the estuary. The village also has interesting monuments, which are well worth discovering. Special mention should be made of the Romanesque San Martín de Andrade and especially of the Andrade Palace-Fortress. We will also visit Plaza del Conde square where you will see from outside the Tower of Andrade.
Finally, as a last stop in our wheelchair accessible tour of A Coruña´s villages, we will enjoy a wonderful view of the meanders of the River Miño, taking us a complete vision of this beautiful area of Galicia.
