This experience starts early in the morning from Barcelona. We will drive approximately 1.5 hours to Tarragona, where the official local guide will be waiting for us. We will uncover the ancient history of the city that stretches as far back as the fifth century BC. The tour guide will guide us to the Walls of Tarragona, the oldest Roman monument in the Iberian Peninsula of those that are preserved outside of Italy. Afterwards, we will stroll through the old city and visit the Roman Circus, a building where the horse and chariot races were located between the Via Augusta and the Provincial Forum. The tour will continue visiting the Roman Amphitheater that completes the trilogy of Roman show buildings in Tarraco. Inside the amphitheater, gladiator fights with beasts were held, as well as public executions.
