Gran Canaria

Canary Islands, Spanish Islas Canarias, Island group and autonomous community of Spain located in the Atlantic Ocean next to the African coast. The islands comprise two provinces, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas, which are both capitals, and they are known in ancient times as the “Fortunate Islands“.
