Explore the natural beauty of the Canary Islands with this wheelchair accessible full day tour of La Gomera Island with an official local guide. We will visit the Juego de Bolas Visitor Center, where we will get to know the Garajonay National Park and enjoy the Canarian Laurisilva Forest. In addition, we will discover everything about the production of bananas in the Canary Islands, a national product with a quality seal.
We will start this full day tour leaving by bus from San Sebastian de La Gomera, where the main points of interest are related to the voyages of Christopher Columbus in the years of the discovery of America. We will drive to the north of the island to enjoy its fertile valleys and its spectacular views. Then, we will pass through the towns of Hermigua and Agulo, discovering everything about the cultivation and production of the Canarian banana. Agulo was historically one of the most prosperous on the island, being the first to have drinking water, electricity and a wharf for banana exports.
Afterwards, we will visit the Juego de Bolas Visitor Center, where we will learn a lot of information about the Garajonay National Park. It is an architectural space with a weather station, manicured gardens and orchards of endemic species of La Gomera and the Canary Islands. We will continue to the center of Vallehermoso, the old cultural center of the north. Then we go to the Garajonay National Park to see the Canarian Laurisilva forest.
On the way back to San Sebastian de La Gomera we will see the Natural Monument of Los Roques, an impressive landscape formed by old volcanic chimney cores.
