Discover our accessible tour of Murcia La Manga and Cabo de Palos from Cartagena with an official local guide and enjoy the city of Murcia, La Manga with its internal “small sea”, known as a paradise between two seas where you can relax and enjoy some tapas with wine, and the beautiful views from Cabo de Palos Lighthouse.
This tour begins by strolling through the streets of the charming city of Murcia. We will visit the Cathedral of Murcia, where we will enter through “Puerta de los Apóstoles”. This Cathedral is considered to be in the location of the first church founded by the Apostle Saint James, who landed in Cartagena in the early part of the 1st century AD on a mission to spread the word of Christianity throughout Spain. Also, we will visit the Real Casino of Murcia, one of the most emblematic buildings in the city.
Afterwards, we will visit La Manga, a piece of land that separates the Mediterranean Sea. The strip is 21 km long and 100 meters wide, separating the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Menor lagoon, from Cabo de Palos to the Punta del Mojón. As such, it remained virgin until the 1960s, when La Manga was discovered as a tourist enclave, undergoing a transformation with the urbanization of the area and the construction of tourist infrastructure.
At the end of this unique tour of Murcia La Manga and Cabo de Palos from Cartagena, we will visit -from outside- Cabo de Palos Lighthouse and enjoy the amazing views. The lighthouse is one of the most interesting neoclassical buildings in the Region of Murcia. Located on a rocky headland, it sits on the last hill of the coastal mountain range of Cartagena. Finally, we will return to the port of Cartagena.
