The tour begins with a visit to one of the masterpieces of the Spanish Renaissance, praised by writers and historians, the Cathedral of Granada. The Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Mary of the Incarnation, was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1962. One of the most impressive parts of the temple is it’s façade, made by Alonso Cano in the mid-17th century. Besides, we will admire the Chapel of the Trinity and it’s marvelous retablo with paintings by El Greco, Jusepe de Ribera and Alonso Cano.

Afterwards, we will discover the Royal Chapel of Granada, which houses the mortal remains of the Catholic Monarchs, Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand V of Aragon. The monument contains great artistic value as a great combination of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. Here, we will visit the Museum, which was created in the Royal Chapel Sacristy and contains the most valuable belongings of the Catholic Monarchs. Also, we will see the grave of Joanna of Castile “the Mad”, Queen of Castile and Aragon, and her husband Philip I of Castile “the Handsome”.

Our itineraries are a selection of those most interesting parts that avoids steps, pronounced hills and cobblestones, following a mostly flat path along the tour, and we tailor each tour to each group’s preferences and specific accessibility needs. We will access the Cathedral of Granada through an entrance located on Calle Pie de la Torre, which has a ramp with a handrail. Due to the slope of the ramp, it is recommended to visit with a company. Access to the Royal Chapel will be through the Cathedral.

This tour includes private accessible transport which is available for reaching most of the locations described on the itinerary, therefore walking parts can be also shortened, for those preferring to stay longer at the minivan or the minibus.
