Join us and enjoy our O Baixo Miño Region day tour from Vigo. We will pick you up at the cruise terminal and leave Vigo behind to begin the tour of Bajo Miño.
Our first stop will be the border town of Tuy. Together with an official guide, we will walk through its streets and discover its cathedral -from outside- and its most emblematic monuments while learning its origin and history. Later, we will cross the brand new pedestrian Bridge of Goián-Cerveira, a suspension bridge 330 meters long integrated harmoniously into the environment. This bridge that joins Tui and Valença do Minho, the border between Spain and Portugal, is an example of universal accessibility, completely flat and with beautiful garden areas. Once in Portuguese lands, we will take a guided tour of Valença do Minho and explore its most important corners.
Our drive will continue to the town of Vila Nova de Cerveira to enjoy the impressive views offered by its most famous viewpoint. And La Guardia, where we will make a stop at Castro de Santa Tecla, a Galician castro and an archaeological site that is located on the contour of the Santa Tecla mountain, which dates back to the Iron Age. You will see the settlement from an elevated area and enjoy the unique views of the Bay.
Finally, we will return to Vigo along the coast, making a brief stop at the Santa María de Oia Monastery. There we will discover the peculiar way that the monks have to fight against the pirates with cannon fire.
Some of the historic quarters and historical placements in this Tour have cobblestones, which can be avoided shorten the areas visited and staying longer at your adapted private transportation. After our full day O Baixo Miño Region day tour from Vigo, we will finish the route arriving back at the Port of Vigo.
