The accessible Mount Teide Excursion will depart from the pier or hotel on a panoramic drive that will take you through Tenerife. The island is the largest of the seven of the Canary Island archipelago. It is located right in the middle between Gran Canaria, La Gomera, and La Palma.
A scenic ascent will take you from sea level to 2370 meters into Las Cañadas National Park, formed around an enormous crater. The journey takes you through the Canarian pine forest that leads to ancient lava flows. Afterward, you can admire the bizarre lunar landscape at Las Cañadas. This unique scenery has been featured in many Hollywood movies including Star Wars. We also pass through picturesque villages including Vilaflor, renowned as the highest and one of the oldest villages in Spain.
Our accessible excursion will lead to the heart of the national park where the stunning Mount Teide is located. It is the third largest volcano in the world. You will be able to view a part of the Mirador Los Roques de García where you will find the famous Roque Chinchado (known as God’s Finger) and see the Ucanca Valley with its lava fields.
Afterward, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant in one of the villages. Finally, you will descend back into the Ucanca Valley. On the way, you will pass through one of the biggest craters in the world, before descending through Chío village and onto the beaches of Las Américas.
