Our accessible Terrassa Highlights Tour starts from Barcelona, which is about a 40-minute drive away. Terrassa has a population of 215.000 inhabitants. Moreover, it is home to some of the most historical sights dating back from the late Roman Empire and early Christianity.

Our tour starts at Masía Freixa, the emblematic building of Gaudian inspiration built by the architect Lluís Muncunill between 1905 and 1910. The itinerary then continues to the National Museum of Science and Technique of Catalonia (mNACTEC). This exceptional building is one of the best examples of Catalan industrial modernism. Additionally, it hosts the permanent exhibition of the “textile factory” showcasing the manufacturing process of wool fabrics in the original premises of an early 20th-century factory.

Next on our tour is a stroll among the city’s modernistic and cultural buildings. This includes the Market of Independence, the General Society of Electricitat, the Town Hall, and the Torre del Palau. Besides, you will also stop at Casa Museu Alegre de Sagrera, a large residence located in the city center. Here you will discover how the industrial and bourgeois families of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century used to live. At the moment the building belongs to the Museum of Terrassa. It hosts diverse expositions featuring different decorative motifs of great interest from the Modernist period.

Finally, the tour offers a visit to La Seu d’Ègara, a monumental complex of the Sant Pere Churches. The churches guard a beautiful artistic treasure of the 5th to 8th centuries. The most unique artistic elements are, apart from the three religious buildings (Santa María, San Miquel, and Sant Pere), murals of the high middle ages, and Romanesque and Gothic altarpieces.

After the tour, you will enjoy a traditional meal at a local restaurant where homemade typical Catalan food is served. Afterward, we will drive you back to your hotel in Barcelona or another agreed drop-off point.
